Frequently asked questions

A word is any run of letters or numbers. Contractions like "don't" and hyphenated words like "well-known" count as one word, and punctuation on its own isn't counted.

Both numbers are shown: characters with spaces (everything you typed, including line breaks) and characters without spaces. Emoji and accented letters count as one character each.
