How to use the Crop & Resize Image

Frequently asked questions

Cropping itself is lossless — the export uses the original full-resolution pixels. Quality only changes if you scale the image up, or export to JPG at a lower quality setting.

Common sizes are 1080×1080 (1:1) for Instagram posts, 1080×1920 (9:16) for Stories and Reels, and 1280×720 (16:9) for YouTube thumbnails.

Yes. Select Free aspect ratio, zoom fully out so the crop covers the whole image, then set the output width and height.

Export as PNG to keep transparent areas. JPG does not support transparency.
