Frequently asked questions

No. The PDF is opened and edited entirely in your browser, so your documents never leave your device. Nothing is stored or sent anywhere.

JPG gives much smaller files and is ideal for photos and sharing. PNG keeps text and line art perfectly crisp but files are larger.

72 DPI is enough for quick previews, 150 DPI looks sharp on screens, and 300 DPI is best for printing or zooming in.

To avoid running out of memory, each image is capped at about 40 megapixels. That only affects very large pages at 300 DPI.

Not yet. Encrypted PDFs can't be edited in the browser, so you'll see a message asking you to remove the password first.
